death - Prince Andrew looked 'self-conscious' walking behind coffin, claims body language expert - Body Language Expert

Prince Andrew seemed uneasy as the Queen’s cortege went up Edinburgh’s Royal Mile on Monday – even before a man, later arrested, heckled him, according to body language expert Adrianne Carter. Prince Andrew appeared “self-conscious” as he walked behind the Queen’s coffin during the celebration of her life in Scotland, a body language expert has claimed. The disgraced Duke of York looked uncomfortable during the event at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh as the procession moved on to the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

He seemed uneasy even before a man was arrested for heckling the Prince as the Queen’s cortege went up the city’s Royal Mile, the report. Andrew was stripped of his royal patronages and honorary military titles and retired from public life following the scandal surrounding his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

He was banned from wearing his military uniform or even saluting as he watched the late Queen’s coffin go through Edinburgh yesterday. During the events, King Charles III, who had flown from London that morning, followed the coffin of his mother along with his siblings Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, and Andrew.

The procession entered the cathedral, headed by the four siblings, where they watched their mother’s coffin be put on a wooden plinth to be laid at rest before the journey down to London. But as Charles, Anne and Edward walked ahead dressed in their military clothing, Andrew lagged a little behind dressed only in his morning clothes.

Body language expert Adrianne Carter explained that this would likely have left the Prince feeling a little uncomfortable. She told the Daily Star : “The Duke of York is looking self-conscious and that could be for a number of reasons, he’s on his own and his siblings have their partners with them for support.”

“All the other men in the close family are wearing their military uniforms and he’s in morning dress,” Adrianne added. “Those two things bring our attention back to the fact that he doesn’t have support on this sad occasion of a partner and he’s not wearing a uniform due to his disgrace within the family and the public. He walks awkwardly behind Princess Royal as they’re all filing through behind the coffin to their seats. It looks like he’s conscious of being on the world stage, his face is set but he is determined to be there and front of stage at his mother’s funeral.”
