Happiness isn’t always happy, happy.
Don’t worry, I’ve not lost the plot. I’m talking about facial expressions – now, you might be wondering what on earth the
difference is between happy and happy, happy…
Well, lots of facial expressions have elements of happiness in them without being pure joy.
For example, a great emotion to show for a campaign is Pride – proud to be wearing the
brand.
Now, this is a tricky emotion to display on the face without the audience seeing arrogance
and coldness…
But we achieved it on a recent photoshoot – and the results look great! I’ll share the
images once the brand releases them.
How do you want your audience to feel when they see your imagery for your brand?
Proud? Aspirational? Inspired?
Thinking about these questions first is a key to a successful campaign.
Focus on what you want to achieve, without focus on the outcome, it can be easy to end
up with results that don’t motivate your audience and they do nothing which includes
conversion.
I’m pulling together a ‘How to…’ guide for all the elements of a successful campaign, from
the photographer, models to the creative director.
Keep an eye out for these guides as you will find them extremely useful!
Remember emotions are contagious so if your campaign is not showing an emotion that
engages and evokes the response you want, you are missing a big opportunity for
engagement and conversion.
I’m so sure I’m willing to put my money where my mouth is…
For any client that works with me on a campaign, if they don’t see an at least 10% uplift in
conversion, they get their money back.
I’d be delighted to have a chat to help you depict the best emotion in your models – just
send me a message, and let’s get things moving.
