I received a text on the Thursday at 4.30pm before my appearance on Friday morning to ask if I was available and willing. Yes, I was willing and rescheduled my meetings, this was too good an opportunity to miss!
The production team booked my train and had an Addison Lee car waiting for me at Euston station, making it a seamless journey to the studios.
I arrived at 8.30am to the studios and was shown to the Green Room for a bit of star spotting before going into hair and makeup.
After hair and makeup, up to the set with my fellow expert Camilla Tominey. We had a bit of a chat on the way up about what we would talk about – that was our prep.
A quick intro to Eamonn and Ruth before going live on air…
Then we were on… weirdly it felt very natural to be on the sofa with them and on the tv.
After the segment on tv, back down to the Green Room for a cup of tea then back in the car to the station.

It’s funny as I was approached by a national newspaper a few weeks ago to write an article and payment was to be a mention of my name and website, I replied ‘I have no desire to be famous, but I do want to be rich…’ I insisted on a payment and I’m glad I did as the article is great for awareness but doesn’t pay the bills.
